BEP/Swollen Members!

Ok so last night I went to the BEP concert (the first one, going again tonight).

The first support act was Resin Dogs, they are an Aussie hip hop type band from Brisbane, they weren't the greatest, we couldn't hear the guys vocals cause the band was up way too loud, so yeah they weren't anything special, the crowd wasn't really into it.

Then Swollen Members came on, I was really excited for this one cause I so wanted to see them live, and OMG! they didn't disappoint! They had the crowd in the palm of their hands, they are so awesome live! if you get the chance to see them, take it!
They played a heap of tracks, and then their second song they were like "You all know our girl Nelly Furtado this is a song that we did with her" I screamed so much then, as soon as they mentioned Nelly, it was so much fun, and they left Nelly's vocals in exactly how they are on the song and then did their parts inbetween them, it was so awesome! I was like singing away to the song, so good! They did so much crowd interaction it was so awesome! They were like jumping down into the crowd and standing on the barrier at the front over the top of the crowd and crowd surfing and everything it was awesome! They were standing up right in front of me at some points so we were all holding on to their legs making sure they didn't fall! Swollen Members totally rock!

Then, BEP came on, they were so good! They had this huge stage and it was all white and they really made use of the lighting and everything They opened with my favourite song, "The Boogie That Be" the whole set was awesome they were all doing crowd interaction but only Apl de Ap jumped down to the barrier to see everyone, everyone else stayed up on the stage. They each did solo segments to and they played some of the tracks from their upcoming album "Monkey Business" I can't wait for this album to drop, it is gonna be awesome!!
They were on stage for just over an hour and a half but the time passed so fast!

Afterwards, I bought a Swollen members t-shirt and a BEP one and now some of my friends understand what I have been on about with Swollen Members, they were all like OMG, they are so good!

Such an awesome night! Just had to share, will post about tonight tomorrow!

As long as you drooled over Fergie and had a good time, that's all that matters. Eh, by drooled, I obviously meant that you must've appreciated her two main talents. Uh, her vocal range and her, uh, well - her rack. You forced me to say it, really. You did. Hahaha. It's awesome that you had a good time, sweetums.

Seems like you had a great time Lynda. I once saw the BEP at a festival. They were quite okay. Much better than lousy Sean Paul with all his booty girls. At least the BEP know how to sing

Lynda, awesome that you had fun. The SM were supporting the BEP in spring here, too. Awesome show....I have seen the BEPs like 3 times now. First time I saw them in this tiny club with Cody Chesnutt supporting them...hilarious....do they still do this crowd interaction thing where everyone has to get down and then get up?

oh and by the way: about fergie, I just read the other day that she was dating Justin Timberlake when he was 16! What is that? crazy, he seems to like older women

oh yeah I read about that like 4 dyas ago, b4 they came to sydney..wird cause she was 23 and he was 16...big diference, HUGE at that age for boys...they are still little boyz

Yes Fergie dated JT back before she had her sex change. I think she/he was better looking then.

Daniel: They don't do the down and up thing anymore they did a kinda mexican type wave thing where they got everyone to crouch down and the starting at the back got everyone to stand up, but they didn't do that the second night. But I know which thing you are talking about cause they did that last time they were here, back in January.

The second night:
I didn't get there till about 5:50pm cause I have to work till 5 so I thought we pretty much had no chance of getting to the front at all, but, luckily, I was wrong! there were maybe about 200 people in front of me when I got there but cause there were 4 lines there was only like 40 in the line I chose to go in, so Chrissy rocked up at about 6:30 ish I think and met me in the line and we were let in at 7.
We managed to get to the front again, we were further to the right this time, right in in front of the stage but as the night progressed we kept moving closer to the centre than where we started. Got to see some of the security guys that we were talking to the night before to! haha

This night was really cool to, Resin Dogs were way better this night, I think it was definitely the sound at the venue that stuffed up on the first night, cause we couldn't hear a word they were saying the first night but we could hear it really well on Sunday. They were pretty good, but I was hanging out for SM to come on! lol

So SM came on and they were so good again, I had fun jumping up and down for almost the whole time! lmao and flicking my hair in the face of the chicks behind me but they didn't complain so I guess they dealt. They played the pretty much the same set as the night before but it was still heaps awesome! Mad Child didn't jump down onto the barrier quite as much this time but Prevail jumped down more so maybe they were tkaing it in turns or sumps! lol When they played Breathe (after Chrissy and I had been shouting Breathe at each break) both of us screamed when they mentioned Nelly! haha It was so fun deafening the people around us! lol

I totally wanna see them again, they are just awesome! I'm kinda cut that I can't go on Saturday night to their gig (got a 21st) that would be an awesome show and since it is their gig I think they would play for longer)...

Ok Then BEP came on, they to did the same set as the previous night, Fergie seemed like she was a bit more into it this night than the previous, not sure what was up with that but yeah tis all good. This night was in some ways better than Saturday and in other ways Saturday was better, On Sunday night, I actually made eye contact with Fergie, Apl De Ap and Will I Am, on Saturday I didn't make eye contact with any of them, so on Sunday I was like singing along to all the words and they were like singing it with me kinda thing, which was really cool! Something that ruined Sunday (which was through no fault of the Peas) was that there were a few people behind us that were ruining it for everyone else, some were trying to push in and being really annoying in general which made the security guards jump up on the barriers more and see what was going on which meant they stood right in our faces so we couldn't see, plus there were quite a few people that had to be taken out which also meant that the security guards had to pull them out over the barrier, therefore blocking our view, but again that isn't really any one's fault so to speak...

The Peas still put on an awesome show, they are so full of energy! Was still an awesome night, I have had the best weekend in a while! Was so awesome!

Am buying all the other SM CDs soon (when they come in since I had to order them) so I hope they come in soon cause I really wanna hear them!

So yes that is the second night! Sorry it's a bit late and Sorry it's kinda long! haha But it was an awesome 2 nights! Next: Jet! haha
