oh for god sakes thank god his a one time poster i hate these people. MAN! I agree with you somewhat Nelly came out with Promiscuous & Maneater i was blown away and i was like WHOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA WOWZA then got over it then downloaded it then got obsessed with it and then i bought Loose.

Ok SURE Loose is no Folklore & it sure aint no Whoa Nelly. But Whoa Nelly aint no Folklore & Folklore aint no Whoa Nelly. See what I'm getting at? All her albums are different. Her first album was a eccentric collection of soulful energetic pop with a hint of origano.

Her second album was a deep, emotional, folkish pop album which was a more down to earth & meaningful nelly.

And Loose is....... A bunch of neon hip pop which topped charts world wide & a collection of soulful meaning pop.

I always sure the tracklisting of Loose like divided despite the fact it wasnt.

MODERN POP & SOULFUL POP

But Nelly wrote every trackon this album and it was her decision i believe to work with Timbaland on this album. SOOO i leave it up to you to decide whether you should go and hate nelly because shes gone for a new approach or just gone all comerrcialised and shit and become one of them.....

Yeah, well .. what I was trying to say is that she has a voice that kinda reminds me of Sean Young (Dune).. she could melt ice at 100 ft. Nelly has the most sultry voice I've ever heard.. shame to dilute it. That's all I meant.

It's time for you all to take your chill pill, guys. I see nothing wrong with someone giving their opinion about Nelly, after all that's all we do here. And he's not even targeting Nelly herself, but her management.

Comments like 'Thank God he's not coming back' aren't the nicest nor the most constructive. I may not agree with many things RickBowman said (e.g. I don't think Nelly's voice is that good, or powerful. Pink and Christina Aguilera come to mind and there's no way I would even compare their voices to Nelly's), but at least he did it in a very organised way, a much more appealing and mature one than the bunch of YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYS, LET'SSSS PARTAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY and WHOOOOOOOOAS that make my eyes bleed every single time.

Ok now you said that you think her voice has been diluted? I really dont get what your going at.... If anything her personality and image has been diluted. Maneater & Promiscuous are the most froced images ive ever seen. But her voice stays the same even if she is singing in front of a huge drum kit, bass gutiar and booming keyboards......

Most of us here do agree with the fact the old nelly is well better.... Well I do at least. I'd rather dance around in rainbow everyday rather than get all modern and hip and dance aoround some club....

But i dont think her voice is diluted in loose. You also said nelly has a unqie voice. True nelly does have a unique voice, but it isnt the best. 3 singers who pop to mind when you talk of extrmeely emotional and powerful voices are Christina Aguilera, Pink & Amy Lee.

I went and saw Pink & Evansecence this year and i have tickets to se Christina Aguilera as well. Pink had the most amazing voice in the world, strong, powerful and and really soulful. Christina has a really depe and emotional voice and can hit really high notes and everything shes extremely talented and amy lee can really sing. Listen to Lithium or My Immortal.

Now compare the songs like "Hurt", "My Immortal" & "Who Knew" to the likes of "I'm Like A Bird". Nelly has a good voice. But these songs all overpower nellys voice. Nothing against nelly shes my favoruite and always will be, but those 3 gals are really talented.

Well, that's one opinion, and a somewhat-right one. Still, Nelly has a great voice, no matter how many other better- or worse-voiced singers there are in the world. However, by going for songs with cathcier tunes and run-of-the-mill image, she is not diluting her voice. You can still tell a diamond in wax, even if it doesn't shine.

All I'm saying is, dont fret and go like "oh, Nelly's withdrawing her talented voice into something catchy to flow with the tide" coz even if she does, consider her ever-experimenting self. I believe it's just a phase for Nelly, and one that maybe doesn't satisfy the artist in her. Enjoy her now for what she is, and even if you dont, she's got some nice older sopngs to prove her talent and keep you company until she goes all "quality" again.
