Arthur Mendon?a was born in Canada in 1976 and grew up on the island of S?o Miguel, Portugal. He completed his degree in fashion design at Ryerson University in 2002 and was promptly employed as an apprentice by NYBased Design in New York and subsequently by established Canadian designer, David Dixon.

In 2002, Arthur launched his own line for spring 2003 under the Arthur Mendon?a label. His work has been praised by such fashion luminaries as Jeanne Beker, Phillip Bloch and Margherita Missoni and has been featured in Wallpaper and the UK edition of InStyle. In 2004, Arthur Mendon?a won the Fashion Export Award for New Designer of the Year and was invited by SAGA FURS to the SAGA Design Centre in Denmark.

Arthur Mendon?a?s collections are known for their vibrant feminine energy. Luxurious fabrics, striking silhouettes and expert tailoring combine to deliver bold, polished and sexy clothes. This focused creative vitality is coupled with a commitment to developing long-term relationships with suppliers, retailers and customers of the brand. Arthur Mendon?a collections have been presented on runways in Toronto, Los Angeles, S?o Paulo and Montr?al.

I'll be the first to disagree. And I doubt many Nelly fans would disagree for the obvious reason. I don't much like the outfit and I think it looks awkward on Nelly. I think it better suits the pale-skinned maniquin-esque model wearing it. I think the outfit should have been left on the catwalk where all the strange outfits are born lol.
