Annoys me!

Nelly is such a talented musician, and it annoys me that she hardly gets any air time on music channels over here,

but something else that annoys me, is the fact that she is hardly ever on any of the big award shows like the MTV VMA's, or the EMA's and I think she should be, more people need to recognise her talent as a musician.

well she did win a Grammy and hosted TRL once

ok...she hasn't been around lately. But there is just such ga reat influx of new artists flooding the radio waves right now getting their 15 minutes. So it's hard for yesterday's artists like Nelly, whose 2nd album has only been moderately successful, to get the same attention. Outside of the hardcore fans, the general public forgets quickly. That's how it goes.

It seems that the only pop artists that have any form of staying power are the ones that try to do a triple-threat where they involve themselves with TV, act in movies in conjunction with their music. What has Nelly done to promote herself like that? nothing. I know it should only be about music but people have short attention spans so doing all this synergetic activities is really necessary. Look at Jessica Simpson, Hilary Duff, Lindsay Lohan, Madonna, etc. It's shameless but it works.

she really needs new management. The business model of getting your music heard changes so fast....she's gotta keep up!!

yes I also think there should be more attention to her, she's so fantastic
I mean ahe has a great voice and her music is excellent an cool
she's also beautiful, what can you want more??

I personally think this is it. She doesn't have time for stuff like that anymore (or energy) because she's a mum. I didn't think it would tie her down...but I guess it has. Oh well.

TURE but nellys too busy now but before I think she should of got more coverage...but anyway I like it like this you know, us fan will be playing her music and pple will be like who's that? "it's nelly furtado dumb ass you hear heard of her?" no? "no way" etc ..... then pple buy her music everyone like her music they just havnt heard it due to low coverage on tv etc

yes new managment please!!!! This second album was just for fans...
And forca song was a waste... the song could opened a lot of fans for nelly...but no! the managment didnt do the correct promotion of the song

yeah, I'm with mari, this may be it for her. but hey, you never know, she could pull another ILAB... maybe on accident? I just like to remember the good ol' whoa, nelly days.

will Nelly is a philosphical person, I'm sure she could put it to good use with songwriting. But like she said, she was Jaded by the whole music business and such. I'm sure she feels so much pressure in the business. I wouldn't blame her if she wanted an out.

true music business is hard these days but I won't be surprised if gd old nelly pulled out another very popular song like ILAB but accient like nellfied said. I still think she's got the power and energy to do that but ILAB is so corny these days she'll have to think hard for a multi-platium single in these days

Today is 99% image, 1% about the music is all about selling yourself to get noticed in the tabloids or the being in the latest movie, wearing designer clothes, sunglasses, selling pepsi etc. Getting your face on everything becoming a media whore, so the common person in the street recognises it's you. WOW
