The same thing this year--I don't think they're absolutely terrible, but there was no reason for me to watch because there wasn't anyone in the final 12 or even before that who actually captured my attention like holy shit that girl/guy has talent. And the judges have been raving all along about Fantasia, and maybe it really is just me but I can't understand why because as I've said, she's good, but fucking Simon said she's been the best so far out of all three competitions which I think is just the biggest crock of shit. If Fantasia is the best that America could give in the past three years, then I really may have to move somewhere where real, good singers are actually produced . . .(okay, not entirely true, because hello Mariah and co were born in the USA)

I don't know how well do you know music...but don't you think Fantasia's voice is closer to Mary J.Blide and Aretha Franklin's??Oh..do you know them? Their DIVAS!!! She is the best contestant I've ever seen and many agree..such as Randy,Paula,Simon,Clive David...and 33 millons americans that voted for her Tuesday.

I do know music well and no, I don't think that Fantasia sounds anything like Mary J. and Aretha. There's no need for you to be condescending towards me like that, because I do know music and I know that in my opinion, Fantasia doesn't hold a candle to these Divas. Maybe she can perform or whatever, and I take back my statement that no one this year had talent because what I was trying to say was I didn't find that anyone had real charisma. It's one thing to be able to sing, it's another thing tobe able to use that talent to captivate people and to let your personality shine through and that's why I have an issue with Diana Degarmo and that's why I didn't watch the competition this year. And I think that what Fantasia has in personality, she lacks in talent because I honestly don't think that her voice is as amazing as you're saying. If she really did sound like these divas that you mentioned, then I wouldn't be saying anything . . . but I am.

Well, that's your opinion and I must respect that. But I still thinkyou need to take a closer listen to Fantasia but whatever. No flame wars here. Anywayz, I completely agree w/Lady Marmalade and Leesa. Fantasia DOES compare to Aretha and better than Mary J (or at least than Mary is currently). Anywayz, LaToya may have little "charisma" but she has an AMAZING voice. I understand, Deep, that you want more charisma (makes things more interesting, yea?But I love my girls for their voices and I still think that Fantasia has an amazing combo of charisma AND vocals.
