OOOOKAAAAY. Lemme start and settle this conversation. If you all went to the theatre, it had SUCH an extra effect. The movie was very moving. I really do not think it was a publicity stunt. I mean SERIOUSLY, if Mel Gibson REALLY wanted to make a movie showing his perspective on how harsh and brutal and honest Jesus' last days were, then let him. He did a great job in my opinion. I don't really know HOW anyone could mock or dissillude that at all. It really is very tastefully done. All that talk of "it's too violent" is complete bullshit. It doesn't show enough violence in my opinion. Jesus was treated VERy harshly and I'm glad someone decided to put it on the big screen.
As I said, the movie is very artistic and to comment on another post from another section (I won't say...), whether you believe this is a "fairy-tale" or not, It's a touching story. We should all learn a lesson from this. I'm not saying everyone should believe in Jesus, I'm just saying it's pretty hard to condemn if you're actually TRYING to watch the movie. If you went to the movie to see gore, get the hell out. If you went to the movie to see a touching story, that's what you'll get. Simple as that.
